What to wear?

if you aren't sure about what to wear, my favorite answer always is "keep it simple”. 
For a family shoot, try to coordinate colours without matching too much, 2 to 3  colours is ideal. If you have doubts, wearing blue/jeans and white always work out great! But I also have other favorite colour combinations that I will happily share.
My biggest recommendation always is to stay away from logos, text and big patterns as they could be too distracting. I will give you styling tips and inspiration including accessories and props ideas once your session is confirmed. 
You are welcome to change clothes during the full session to have a larger variety of images and ambiances to choose from.
Wether going for elegant, casual, modern or a more traditional direction, once you have booked your session, we will work together to create the best look and feel for YOUR photo session and aim for the best outcome.

What to bring?

Most important is water to keep everyone hydrated and ready to smile. With little ones you may want to bring their special toys along, as well as bubbles or a ball to have them play with as well as a change of clothes, as you never know. A blanket for the beach is nice, and little snacks to keep them distracted or happy. But avoid the ice cream before the session, it could be a treat for afterwards or even during the shooting to see some really happy faces!

What is the weather is bad?

Weather is often unpredictable in Hong Kong and this can always happen, a heavy rain can be followed by a blue sky or the most stunning rays of light.
If it rains and you do not wish a wellies and umbrella session, we can always postpone our session. A new date will depend on my availability but there is no expiry date to rebook your shoot. Also I try to be as flexible as possible about the timing and do not overbook myself. We will make your photoshoot happen with the best available conditions!

How long is the photo session?

I offer 3 packages for families, children and bumps, from a 30 minutes mini session to a full 90 minutes photography experience. For newborn sessions I suggest to book at least one hour and for professional headshots the sessions last 30 minutes plenty of time. You can also book my service for special events.

How long are gift vouchers valid?

A photo session for a farewell, a baby shower or a teacher, or as a christmas or birthday present are always well received and loved. My gift vouchers are valid one year so that there is no stress for anyone!

what shooting time is best?

The best light is usually early morning or late afternoon. If you you want a beach photo shoot my favourite time is one hour before the sun goes down but if you go for an urban shoot then will all the shade provided by the buildings, any time between 8 am and 4pm is fine

Do you have a studio?

The answer is no I don’t as I work with natural light on locations. But I can always come to your place if you would like images of your family in the privacy of "your home sweet home". I can also take pictures with a black backdrop for some timeless shots, this works great for new-borns and maternity shoots, contact me for details.

Can we have the shooting at home?

the answer is yes, of course! I am happy to come over to your place if this is your preferred choice. Ideally on a bright day so we can make use of the light coming through the windows. We may also have to move the furniture a bit around and who knows if we get adventurous we can also take a few shots in your neighbourhood!
